The CBI Innovation Booster team is happy to announce that we will be hosting our first project pitching event on the 19th of January. During this online event, 8 teams will be pitching their ideas for new products and services that contribute to the circular transition of the Swiss building industry. The projects will be assessed by an independent jury comprised of experts from industry, academia and the public sphere.
Circular Building Industry Innovation Booster, powered by Innosuisse, aims to enable a transition to a circular building industry through systemic and joint innovation. Answering the industry need for a collaborative cross value chain approach, the booster brings the Swiss construction and building ecosystem together with key innovation and research hubs in an inspiring and agile setting. The CBI Innovation Booster offers the opportunity to develop, test and refine an idea for a product, service, process or business model relating to circularity in the building industry. We offer successful innovation teams a direct cash contribution of up to 25,000 CHF to develop their ideas, concepts and prototypes. Additionally, teams are granted methodological and technical support from experts on the topic of circular economy, design thinking and more.
With 18 applicants for the first call, the core team has selected 8 finalists for the pitching round on the 19th of January which best meet the evaluation criteria. During the pitching event, the 8 teams will present their ideas to the jury members who will assess the projects and decide which teams receive funding and support to further develop their idea and thus make an important contribution to the circular economy in the construction sector in Switzerland.
